Working from my home in Framlingham in East Suffolk, I offer a personal and confidential service to my clients. From the initial contact onwards, I seek to provide a service that appropriately reflects the needs of each person.
Invariably, my first conversation with a potential client will be a telephone call from that person. I know it is often difficult to make that first contact; the decision to do so may have taken many weeks to reach. Also, when I ring, "What do I say?" "What questions should I ask?"
Since I am not always available to answer my 'phone, clients can leave a message with their name, contact number and convenient time for me to call. No other information is needed at this stage. I will make contact as soon as I can - usually on the same or following day. If I am away, any voice mails received will be actioned upon my return.
Initial enquiries may also come to me by EMail - smyth.therapy@virgin.net - and these are viewed only by me. These will be acknowledged within a similar timescale to voice mails and messages.
In our first communication - whether by telephone or EMail - I will suggest that we arrange a preliminary session at a time and day to suit us both. There are distinct differences in my approach to the first meeting with an adult client and parent(s) of a potential child client. These are described more fully in separate sections on this site Children and Young Adults. There is no charge for the introductory session.
